The Value Of Commitment In Relationships

Have you ever had a man sweep you off your feet and take you to the moon on gossamer wings,
only to disappear six or seven weeks later with the excuse that “it’s not you; it’s me?”Decorative

How about discovering that he was married and just having fun surfing the dating site and chose you as his next conquest? Sadly, this is very common.  I hear about this in my practice and know about this personally, as it happened to me twice.  I have accepted this as a syndrome of fear of intimacy/commitment or a form of entertainment that men use to reinforce their egos.

Woman can have the same fear of intimacy/commitment but don’t use men as often as entertainment.  They seem to genuinely have a fear that comes from early childhood trauma.  There are times when they use men as a ticket to security and life style, but rarely to they drop them in six or seven weeks unless they find a better deal.  It’s more likely that the guy drops them when the seduction wears off or they find a younger or prettier option.

If any of these heartbreaking experiences have caused you pain and suffering, know that you are not alone.  My article, THE VALUE OF COMMITMENT IN RELATIONSHIPS explores the reasons and solutions to help you avoid these outcomes.  You will learn how to resolve these deal breaking issues that are also inherent in many relationships and marriages.
