What Is a Business Mediator/Business Coach?
What a Business Mediator Does
- Facilitates Communication
Mediators facilitate productive communication, ensuring all parties can express their needs and concerns clearly. - Maintains Neutrality
The mediator remains impartial throughout the process, not taking sides. - Guides the Process
Mediators structure sessions, establish ground rules, and manage discussions to keep the process focused. - Encourages Collaboration
The mediator helps the parties identify common goals and work together to find solutions that satisfy their specific interests. - Drafts Agreements
If the parties reach a settlement, the mediator can assist in preparing the formal, written agreement.
Key Characteristics of Mediation
- Voluntary: Parties must choose to participate in mediation willingly.
- Confidential: Discussions and arguments made during mediation are kept private and cannot typically be used in later court proceedings.
- Non-Binding: The mediator does not impose a decision; the parties themselves create the solution.
- Cost-Effective: Mediation is often faster and less expensive than litigation.
- Focuses on Solutions: It emphasizes collaboration to create flexible, creative solutions that address the parties’ unique needs.

Along with the information above, I’d like to share my own experience and what I can offer as a business mediator.
Most of you are aware that I have been a clinical social worker in private practice for over 47 years. During the years, I have counseled thousands of clients for individual, relationship, and family therapy. Additionally, I have worked with numerous small businesses and corporations that lacked a Human Resources Department. These companies often needed someone to mediate issues that arose from employees having personal problems that interfered with their work, or more frequently, conflicts within upper and middle management that disrupted production and resulted in losses for the company.
This is where I come in. I would act as a human resource professional to support conflict resolution. Both small and large companies and corporations would outsource this service by hiring me to resolve the conflicts that needed mediation.
Since reinventing myself as a Certified Life Coach and Relationship Coach, I added the service of a business mediator to my practice. My background in private practice, dating back to 1978, and my certification as a mediator have prepared me to be a professional business mediator. Now, for the first time, I am offering my expertise to any company or corporation that can benefit from my years of experience.
If you, as a CEO or business owner, are unable to resolve internal conflicts that interfere with your operational services or employee differences, I would be someone who can assist you in resolving these issues. As an outsourced mediator, I will go to your location to provide my services.
If you’re interested, I suggest calling to schedule an appointment to discuss your needs. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.
