Becoming Close

Becoming close to another person is one of the most thrilling experiences in the human repertoire, both the bedrock of emotional security and a passport to self-expansion. If the relationship is a romantic one—and intimacy is as much the essence of deep friendship as of lasting love—it carries the added charge of desire. Although the term intimacy is often used as a euphemism for sex, anyone with a dear friend knows that physical attraction is not essential for any two people to create a true bond. Intimacy is what you share with another human being who truly “gets” you.

For those interested in creating and maintaining closeness in a conscious relationship, you might want to consider the road to success. I offer a method of couple counseling to certain couples who embrace change and growth to achieve closeness, connection and a formula to use for anything that might pollute their relational space.

ECCT, (Encounter-centered, couples therapy), is a recipe for success! It’s definitely not for everyone.   It takes each person in the relationship to embrace this modality with a great big YES! It takes time, patience, money and most of all, commitment to stay the course. It can be accomplished over time, not less than a two-hour session each week or twice a week, or a two day Intensive, eight hours each day, a total of 16 hours however way you choose. The fee is $450.00 for a two hour session and $3500.00 for the two day Intensive.

I encourage couples to consider this modality as an investment in their lives and would strongly advocate that couples who are heading to the alter, do the same. If you are interested in transforming your relationship into a healthy mature, conscious connection and keeping your relational space sacred, I suggest you consider this approach.
